Material and technical background of the Centre NANOPIN
All five partner institutions forming the Research Centre for Nanosurface Engineering "NANOPIN" have long-term experience in the area of the research program of this centre. The Advanced Technology Group has more than 10 years of experience in the research and development of new technologies, materials, testing and also as an educational and certification institution in this area. The responsible researcher, Dr. F. Peterka is also director of the Division of TiO2 photocatalysis founded at the ATG. The Institute of Inorganic Chemistry AS CR is a respected institution in fundamental and applied research in inorganic chemistry. The group at J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry AS CR has relevant experience and experimental equipment for photochemistry and photocatalysis, advanced inorganic syntheses, materials characterization and electrochemistry. The Institute of Chemical Technology is long-acting in the research of photocatalytic degradation of environmental pollutants and of microbiology of drinking and waste water. Technical university Liberec has experiences in the technology of plasma deposition of thin films. For the projected activities the Centre is fully equipped with the basic laboratory, administrative and logistic support. Following instruments are available for research works on the project at individual institutions. Highlighted items are new instruments obtained from the budget of the centre.
